I am a sucker for these ancient lore horror movies. There’s something about a belief that lasted thousands of years to make one wonder if there is any truth to it.
As a westerner, I have been exposed to many a biblical based horror flick. But I always wondered what horror was like from around the world. Thanks to the internet, in the past decade we have been starting to see more an more of it.
The Ritual is beautifully filmed and really well acted. I’ve said it over and over, countries in the Commonwealth sure know how to make up for budget with a strong story and good acting.
